More Teeth

So Aiden will be 8 months old on the 30th and most kids only have 1 maybe 2 teeth at that age. Not ours. He has 6 right now and his top 2 eye teeth will be making an appearance very soon. He's been a little fussy over the past few days so we looked in his mouth and sure enough, you can see white under his gum's again. I'm not sure if we should start him on Gerber 3rd foods or steak and potatoes next :)

Earlier in the week while it was warm out we took Aiden out in his stroller while Andy and I raked up the front yard. He was loving it. And with all the fresh air, he slept like a rock that night too. I think he will enjoy going for walks with Andy and Porter as it starts to get nicer out.

Uncle Eric stopped by on Saturday with Aiden's first Easter basket. He said maybe next year there will be a chocolate bunny but Aiden was pretty excited about the Enfamil.

I couldn't resist taking the below picture. He looked so peaceful and sweet I thought I would share it with everyone. To be a baby again with no worries...

So what to tell everyone this week...Aiden is feeling better. He has a little cough left but that seems to be getting better as well. He learned the art of splashing in the tub. He finds it quite amusing and I end up pretty soaked by the time the bath is over. He got his new convertable car seat on Thursday. He was just too big for the infant carrier anymore. It's crazy that we needed a new one at 7 months but we just have a big kid.

We had a busy weekend. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Marple's Friday morning. He had all sorts of fun. He had so much stuff to look at, play with and another dog to mess with and of course he wanted to grab Stout like he does Porter. Stout was good with him though. Grandma & Grandpa watched Aiden for us while we went to the Red Wings game last night. It was nice for Andy and I to get out by ourselves for a night, even though the game was horrible. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed having him and I think Aiden must have had lots of fun too because he slept for over 2 hours when we got home today.

Anyway, it's 8:30 now and I still need to give Aiden a bath so I guess that's all for now.

Sick

This has been a long week. Tuesday night, Aiden went to bed about 8 pm like normal. At about 9:30 he woke up crying and it was not his normal cry. He was wheezing and had a sharp, nasty cough. He sounded horrible. Of course, being new parents and since it wasn't too late, we called Grandma Marple for advice. She heard him over the phone and said it was definitely a croupy cough. So we spent a lot of the time in the bathroom with hot water running so he could breathe in the steam. I stayed in the recliner that night and let him sleep on me so he could be more upright. We probably got up 3 times throughout the night to sit in the steam. He was a little better by morning. Andy and I both stayed home on Wednesday so that I could sleep while he took care of Aiden. The cough turned into a nasty cold, so Andy stayed home with him on Thursday and then my mom and dad came to stay with him Friday since my dad is layed off for the winter and my mom has been put on four 10 hour days with Friday's off. He hasn't had a fever at all and for the most part has been pretty happy. He's sometimes a little fussy when he wakes up but I think he's getting better. His nose is running like crazy and he absolutely hates the snot sucker. I feel bad everytime I have to do it, but I know it has to come out. Hopefully he'll get better soon. I guess we'll see how he's doing in the morning to decide if we take him to day care or if I stay home.

Here's a picture of our poor little guy this week. Next weekend we go to grandma and grandpa Marple's so hopefully he'll be happy and we'll have a better picture to post.
