6 Months Old

I decided that creating a blog will be a fun and easy way to keep family and friends informed on how Aiden is growing and learning. With both of us working full time and trying to get things done around the house and most importantly taking care of Aiden, we have been very bad about sending pictures and updates on how he's doing. This probably would have been a good thing to start during my pregnancy but I guess better late than never.

So where do I start? I guess I'll go with I can't believe our baby boy is 6 months old already. It seems like just yesterday we were new parents learning everything there is to know about a newborn. Now we are still learning everyday, but we at least have a routine down now (at least for the most part). It's so amazing how much he has changed. It seems like he's doing something new all the time. We are still introducing different fruits and veggies to him. So far he loves peas and pears the best, followed closely by carrots and bananas. To our surprise, he didn't care for applesauce. We'll keep trying that one. He isn't too much of a cereal fan. We've tried rice and oatmeal so far. He does better if we mix fruit in with it, but still not a favorite. We just got the Barley cereal so we'll try that next and see how it goes. He doesn't wear as much of the food as he used to so that's a definite plus! Daddy taught him how to raspberry which is tons of fun when he does it with a mouth full of food. Thank you daddy!

We have a doctor appointment on Monday and we can't wait to see how big baby Shrek is. He was 18 pounds 10 ounces and 27 inches long at his 4 month appt. Hopefully he slows down sometime. He's already wearing 12 & 18 month clothes.
He now has 4 teeth. He got the 4th one on Thursday. He's been a much happier little guy the last couple days. The top two he has are not the front ones but the next ones over. If he doesn't get the front two soon he'll be our little vampire. He's been doing very well with sleeping through the night (knock on wood). Last night he went to sleep about 8:30 and he didn't get up until 7:30 this morning. We're loving it! He's getting better at sitting. He can go unsupported for a little bit but when he tries to move or grab for a toy, he gets wobbly and tumbles over. It won't be long before he's sitting on the floor by himself, playng. Well I guess That's it for now. The plan is to post new info at least a couple times a week. So check back every now and then. We'll definitely update you on the doctor visit.
